The Village of Frankfort was selected to host the Will County Center for Economic Development “Eye Opener” breakfast meeting held on May 1, 2008 at CD & Me.  Over 350 business leaders attended the informational breakfast sponsored by the CED.

Chairman of the Board for the CED, Mike Hansen, introduced Frankfort’s Mayor Jim Holland who presented a brief overview of Frankfort and highlighted the Village’s efforts pertaining to light industrial development.  Trustees Cindy Heath and Dick Trevarthan were also in attendance.

John Greuling, President of the CED, presented “I-80 on a Roll” to the audience focusing on Will County, its growth and positive momentum into the future.

“We’re honored that the CED chose Frankfort for its “Eye Opener” event, and certainly pleased to introduce and highlight Frankfort to many of the attendees.  Our light industrial area is growing with three new industrial parks, and we welcome businesses to take the opportunity to visit Frankfort and see what it offers to the business community,” commented Frankfort’s Mayor Jim Holland.
